From the very start of this book, I got a Holocaust vibe. Tyrant and his oppressed, beaten down society. A man that likes to see himself as a god, and demands others to do the same. The oppressed society, knowing nothing else, has fully bought into the omnipresent vibe that The Lord Ruler tries so hard to put out. The hero you begin to think is Kelsier, but further in you realize it’s Vin. Teeny, tiny Vin. Street Rat turned bad ass! Discovered by Kelsier, as he had to get an Inquisitor off her back due to Vin soothing an Obligator without actually knowing she could sooth. Once rescued, she is introduced to what she thinks is her new crew but turns out to be her new family. This book has it all!
